Report: Tyrese Is Under Investigation For Child Abuse Claims

His ex-wife alleges that he beat their 10-year-old.

The child abuse claims against Tyrese Gibson just got serious. Now, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is involved.

Last month, Tyrese ex-wife Norma Mitchell Gibson filed court documents claiming that on August 19, the couple’s 10-year-old daughter was staying with Tyrese when he allegedly “went into a rage, pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.”

She claimed the incident began when Tyrese accused the young girl of “stealing her own piggy bank money that she received for her birthday.”

The request for protection was granted by a judge, which bars Tyrese from directly or indirectly contacting Norma or his daughter.

See Tyrese’s Instagram post about the accusations below.

Their attorneys were in court today and TMZ is reporting Norma is asking for full physical and legal custody. "She's worried Tyrese will take their daughter to Dubai, where he has business ties, and not come back. She also wants Tyrese to take domestic violence courses." Norma's attorney revealed DCFS has launched an investigation on Tyrese, but TMZ notes, "It's not uncommon for DCFS to launch an investigation as a precautionary measure."
Tyrese's lawyer, Terry Levich Ross, already clapped back to TMZ, saying, "She's a lying piece of s***. Tyrese is devastated. He's a good guy and I will prove that." Well, damn.
