BET Awards 2022: Doechii Wows The Crowd With First Mainstage Performance
With her first BET Awards performance, Doechii rocked the crowd with her hit single, “Persuasive.” The recent XXL 2022 Freshman Class member and TDE Music artist put her innovative style on full display.
The single is a TikTok favorite and Doechii was backed up by a large group of dancers who jammed along to the anthem which is a tribute to late nights and hard partying.
Brought to the stage by the show’s host — Taraji P. Henson, who called her, “eclectic,” and a “favorite,” Henson also reminded the audience that the network is always “at the forefront of breaking new artists” the Tampa, Florida rapper was clad in a silver jacket which she dropped to reveal a shiny bodysuit with knee-hi boots.
After performing her first single, Doechii shed a long wig to reveal long cornrows and got the crowd on their feet as she transitioned into an amazing high energy performance of her next single, “Crazy,” earning a standing ovation from the elite crowd.
