    Born Joshua Omaru Marley, YG Marley is the son of 5-time Grammy Award-winning singer Lauryn Hill and former CFL (Canadian Football League) player Rohan Marley. The rising star is also the grandson of the legendary reggae icon Bob Marley

    In December 2023, the singer released his debut single, "Praise Jah in the Moonlight." This was his first self-produced track, which included a sample of his grandfather’s song "Crisis," originally performed with the Wailers.

    The single debuted at number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 10, 2024, making it the first reggae song to enter the chart since "Bam" by Damian Marley and Jay-Z seven years earlier.
