Professor Saweetie!: Heads To USC To Give Speech At A Business Class
Saweetie is adding college professor to her resume as she heads back to her alma mater, the University of Southern California, to drop some gems in a business class on campus.
The “My Type” rapper stopped by an entrepreneurship class on Monday (Oct. 25) and spoke to undergraduate students about empathy, storytelling and meditation, according to a tweet shared PEOPLE’s Tomas Mier.
Saweetie, who graduated from USC with a Bachelor’s degree in business in 2016, dropped by one of her old classes, with her former lecturer, Professor Albert Napoli.
In a campus interview with the Daily Trojan dating back to 2019, Professor Napoli talked about the ambition he noticed in the artist/influencer when she was just a student.
"I saw in her the drive and focus that entrepreneurs have. She had this passion, this drive. I knew exactly what kind of direction she needed," said Napoli. "I see a lot of dreamers and not a lot of doers. Diamonté is definitely a doer."
Saweetie knows how to get a bag and secure a check or two, the 28-year-old has her own edge control, nail polish, has collaborated with the clothing retailer PrettyLittleThing, created online courses under her ICY University brand and scored a brand deal with McDonald’s for her very own meal.
