Turk Denies He Accused Lil Wayne of Using Drugs
More than a decade after the Hot Boys dropped their first album, former group member Turk is still loyal to his Cash Money family. In an interview with G14 Radio last week, Turk commented on Lil Wayne's behavior and alleged drug use — relating both to issues of his own — and then had to clarify what he meant.
"I used to be in a circle where I was caught up in some drugs," Turk said. "I used to do heroin, cocaine. I used to shoot heroin and cocaine like an old n---a, when I was fifteen, sixteen, because no one tell me nothin'. So the only thing I can say about that situation is when you're under the influence ... anything can come out your mouth. Don't necessarily mean that's the type of person you is."
The quote went viral, causing Turk to clear up his statement. He never dissed Weezy, and was only sharing a personal experience. "Not one time did I say that Lil Wayne is on drugs," he told TMZ. "I was talking about myself having a drug problem in the past and what my problem personally was."
Wayne's also admitted to using drugs in the past, and frequently rhymes about addiction. On the 2 Chainz-assisted "Rich as F---" the 30-year-old graduates from one drug, to several rapping, "I got Xanax, Percocet, Promethazine with Codeine."
Recent multiple seizures, and an epilepsy diagnosis helped Wayne make his health a priority, but rest doesn't seem to be a part of that prescription. He'll set off on a national tour starting in July.
