Lil Wayne Reveals Tha Carter V Album Cover, Release Date

Weezy debuts artwork on ESPN's SportCenter, prepping album for October.

It's a busy day for Lil Wayne. The Young Money head revealed the cover art and release date for his upcoming Tha Carter V album via ESPN Thursday morning (Aug. 14).

Wayne stopped by First Take to announce October 28 as his album release date before heading over to SportsCenter for the big cover reveal.

The artwork sticks to the theme of the last pair of Tha Carter installments, featuring a childhood photo of the father of four with his mother, Jacida Carter. He hasn't yet revealed the tracklist.

Wayne will be working nonstop until (and probably after) Tha Carter V drops. He's currently on the Lil Wayne vs. Drake tour with his YMCMB protégé. The rap duo brought out 50 Cent in Connecticut last night.

The tour hits Cinncinati's Riverbend Music Center tomorrow night.
