Wiz Khalifa Reveals New Album Title
Becoming a father was a pretty big occurrence in Wiz Khalifa's life this year, and back in April the Pittsburgh native revealed plans to bring another creation into the world by way of a new album.
The Taylor Game honcho confirmed work on the release, his third studio album, during an interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood on L.A.'s Power 106 radio station and revealed the title via Twitter. "I'm dropping an album later this year too. & namin that b---- 'Blacc Hollywood,'" he wrote.
The title borrows from Camp Lo's 2007 release of the same name, although it is unclear if Khalifa meant to tribute the hip hop duo.
Details behind the release are still under wraps, but during his talk with Big Boy, the "Work Hard, Play Hard" rapper explained how fatherhood has enhanced his creative flow. "I been having so much fun, and having my son. I feel like it'd be a great time to put out a really dope, relevant project."
His fiancée, Amber Rose, gave birth to their son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, in February.
Wiz's last album, O.N.I.F.C., dropped in December 2012 and debuted in second place on the Billboard charts with 148,000 units sold in its first week.
