Young Dolph’s Girlfriend’s Song for Rapper’s Killer Garners Mixed Reactions on Social Media
Mia Jaye’s most recent tribute to her late boyfriend and rapper Young Dolph comes as a song. The “Major” emcee was shot and killed outside a local bakery in his hometown of Memphis.
On Saturday (Sept. 2), Jaye took to her Instagram stories, where she shared an original song dedicated to the individuals who took the “Uh Uh” emcee’s life.
“You ain't s—t. S—t for what you did,” Jaye sang in the since-expired post. “How could you take a father from his family and kids. Mr. Shooter, dear Mr. Shooter, what the f—k was you thinkin’/ You done f—ked up now.”The track quickly garnered attention, eliciting positive and less favorable reactions from across social media.
While many cracked jokes and even criticized Jaye’s singing, many ran to her defense, including one user who wrote, “Leave this lady alone and let her grieve. Y’all be trying to clown people while they’re down and it is weird.”
Dolph and Jaye reportedly began dating in 2014 after meeting at the latter’s job.
They share two children, a son named Tré and a daughter named Ari.
