Joey BadA$ has taken to Instagram to react to the news that he unfortunately lost a family member earlier today (August 12).

The rapper’s cousin Terrell Henry was shot and killed after leaving a deli in Brooklyn at around 1 a.m. this morning.

According to reports, the Pro Era member’s cousin was an aspiring FBI agent about to begin his fourth year at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He was 22 years old.

“No words… Just a heavy heart,” the rapper posted on Instagram. “RIP to my cousin Terrell Henry smh… Through all the positivity there’s always a negative… truly devastated.”

As the NY Daily News reports, it appears as though the shooting happened for “no apparent reason” and at this time, a suspect has yet to be named and the investigation is ongoing.
