Azealia Banks Lands Playboy Cover
Azealia Banks is ready to be fully exposed in the new issue of Playboy. The Harlem-born recording artist covers the April 2015 edition out next month, the magazine confirmed Wednesday (Feb. 11).
According to editors, Banks, 23, posed nude for a “frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet.”
In a teaser photo from the spread, shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, Banks rocks long purple tresses, cat ears, lace-up platforms heels, black nail polish, and nothing else. Her pictorial is accompanied by a “no-holds-barred” interview.
Working with Playboy puts the outspoken rapper among the ranks of Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, Marilyn Monroe, Farrah Fawcett, Bo Derek, Raquel Welch, Drew Barrymore, Iman, Naomi Campbell, and other famous women to pose for the magazine since it was founded more than 60 years ago.
In 1971, model Darine Stern became the first Black woman to cover Playboy solo.
