Queen Latifah Wins Golden Globe | Entertainment | News | BET.com

Posted Jan. 14, 2008 -- Queen Latifah's emotional performance as an HIV-positive woman in HBO Films' "Life Support" won her a Golden Globe last night. The best supporting actress win makes her the only African American to nab a Globe this year.

She won without the fanfare, unfortunately. The ongoing writers' strike forced the cancellation of the usually glitzy red carpet and award ceremony. Instead viewers watched a lifeless hour of announcements.
