[Watch] Kevin Durant Gets Geeked Over Drake Name-Dropping Him
As the 2014 NBA MVP, a seven-time All-Star and five-time all-NBA selection...yeah, Kevin Durant is a pretty accomplished player.
But that doesn't mean that the NBA superstar can't still get geeked hearing his name being dropped by one of the hottest rappers in the game.
"When your favorite rapper puts your name in a song, it makes you feel like you made it," KD said Monday about Drake mentioning him on "Weston Road Flows," off the rapper's new Views album.
The track finds Drizzy rhyming, "A lot of people just hit me up when my name is mentioned/Shout out to KD, we relate we get the same attention/It's rainin' money, Oklahoma City Thunder/The most successful rapper 35 and under."
Drake has name-dropped KD before, too, rhyming, "Getting cheddar packs like KD, OKC that's player s**t," on French Montana's "Pop That."
Durant reacted to the mention before his Thunder scored a 98-97 road victory over the San Antonio Spurs, knotting their Western Conference semifinals at 1-1. Game 3 of that series will be Friday night in Oklahoma City.
