Update: New Injury Photos of Matt Barnes's Alleged Victim From Night Club Brawl Don't Look Good

Court of public opinion.

Update: Matt Barnes has pictures of scratches and minor cuts on his neck that could back his rep's argument that the Sacramento Kings forward was acting in self defense during a New York City nightclub melee early Monday morning.

However, one of Barnes's and teammate DeMarcus Cousins's alleged victims has injury photos, too, and they don't look too good at all.

Myrone Powell and Jasmine Besiso, two of the alleged victims from the Avenue Nightclub incident, held a press conference in NYC today, where Powell was still sporting a pair of black eyes.

If that wasn't bad enough, the pics of Powell immediately after the incident — as obtained by TMZ Sports — are even worse.

Ouch.

Although Barnes and Cousins may have indeed been acting in self defense, their task of proving that might have gotten more difficult with the release of these photos.

Powell and Besiso are suing the Kings' stars over the nightclub scrap, which they're calling an unprovoked assault against them.

Previously: Matt Barnes's rep already stated that the Sacramento Kings' forward was acting in self defense in a New York City nightclub brawl during the wee hours of Monday morning.

Now, the NBA veteran has something to possibly back that claim.

On Thursday, TMZ Sports posted photos of Barnes with scratches and minor cuts on the front and back of his neck. The celebrity website claims that the photos were taken minutes after the alleged incident upon Barnes and teammate DeMarcus Cousins's exit from Avenue Nightclub around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

These photos could corroborate Barnes's rep telling TMZ earlier this week that the Kings' forward was the one knocked to the ground and choked by a male, forcing Matt to defend himself. That and Barnes also took pictures of his fists, which don't show signs of any injuries, according to TMZ.

That's contrary to an initial report claiming Barnes choked a woman during an argument, before punching the two individuals that she was with as they tried to interfere.

Barnes may need to present these photos, as he and Cousins have been slapped with a lawsuit by two of the people involved in the incident.

Jasmine Besiso and Myrone Powell allege that Barnes approached Besiso and choked her in an unprovoked attack before elbowing her in the face and knocking her unconscious, according to a portion of the lawsuit that TMZ obtained. They add that Cousins punched Powell in the face when he tried to interfere.

Both Barnes and Cousins played in the Kings' win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night — the team's first game since the NYC nightclub brawl.
