Erykah Badu Denies Romance with D.O.C.

The singer says there are no plans for marriage or joint reality show.

Well that's gotta sting. After an interview with The Dallas Observer had D.O.C. talking about grand plans for a reality show that would end with the rapper marrying Erykah Badu, the singer has come forward to deny that any of these plans will happen. Even though the two have a seven-year-old daughter named Puma and live together while D.O.C. works on Dr. Dre's Detox album, her reps say she has no interest in rekindling their romance. She also says that she will not play a major part in his reality series, "I Got My Voice Back."

"Erykah Badu and The D.O.C. share parental responsibilities for their daughter and their relationship as it regards that aim in very good," Paul Levatino, general manager and spokesman for Badu's company, Badu World, tells The Dallas Observer.

"Erykah has no plans to marry or have any sort of courtship with the D.O.C. Ms. Badu has no plans to allow a reality show to be filmed in her private Dallas residence or to include any of her children in the filming. Ms. Badu has no concrete plans further than a guest appearance in his reality show. The D.O.C.'s comments were either taken out of context, improperly interpreted, or reflective of his now, not-so-secret desires. Whatever the case, Erykah wishes D.O.C. well both spiritually and professionally."

Apparently not emotionally though because that must've been some blow to his ego.
