Kanye West Announces First Solo Tour in Five Years
Aside from going out with Jay Z, Kanye West isn't much for sharing the tour spotlight, but all of that is set to change soon. West is hitting the road with Kendrick Lamar next month.
Early this morning, the G.O.O.D. Music front man tweeted the words "TOUR" next to a flyer featuring a floating Yeezus (perhaps a resurrection of some sort?) underneath the words: "Kanye West's 1st Solo Tour in 5 Years with Kendrick Lamar."
Starting Oct. 19 in Seattle, the rap stars will hit more than 20 stops, including New York City's Madison Square Garden and the Los Angeles Staples Center. While K. Dot will be setting the table for 'Ye most nights during the trek, fans in attendance can expect to a see a number of special guests pop up on any given night.
West's last solo tour was 2008's Glow in the Dark jaunt, which featured Rihanna and N.E.R.D. as openers on select dates. Lamar recently wrapped up his good kid m.a.a.d. city world tour last month.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Sept. 13.
