‘The Bear’ Star Ayo Edebiri Wins Big At Golden Globe Awards

At last night's 81st annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA., this queen was crowned for the best performance by an actress in a comedy series for her portrayal as Sydney Adamu on the FX series "The Bear." While wearing a smoking hot red Prada gown, she gave many shout-outs to her cast, loved ones, and key players who've helped her reach this pinnacle in her career while accepting the award.
“I’m so very grateful for this. I’m in a room full of so many people who I admire and whose work has lifted me up," she said. "I’m an artist, I’m very lucky to be an artist. I really want to acknowledge that.”
Afterward, she highlighted the cast of the award-winning show for their support.
"That’s my family. I love you guys so much. It’s an honor to work with you and grow alongside you."
Edebiri also showed love to the competition in the category she was nominated in, along with her relatives.
"The actresses I was nominated alongside, and also my real family, I love you guys too."
Next, she drew special attention to her behind-the-scenes team, who have played a pivotal role in her success.
"All of my agents and managers, assistants! The people who answer my emails. Ya’ll are real ones. Thank you for answering my crazy, crazy emails.”
Edebiri wrapped her speech with a witty zinger on top.
"I’m really, really grateful. If I forgot to thank you, I’m sorry, unless you were mean or something."
According to Variety, "The Bear" is slated to return for season three later this year.
