WNBA All-Star Skylar Diggins-Smith Announced She’s Pregnant With An Adorable Instagram Post
WNBA star Skylar Diggins-Smith will soon be adding another teammate to her household!
On Wednesday night, the four-time All-Star announced via Instagram that she and her husband, Daniel Smith, are expecting a baby.
In the post, Skylar shared a video of a sonogram with the caption, "Can’t wait to meet you!"
Although the Dallas Wings' player has not stated her due date, some speculate she will likely need to take some time away from practice or the season, which starts in May.
Pregnancy for female athletes is often likened to a torn ACL, but other basketball stars have quickly bounced back from having children.
Candace Parker returned to practices a little over a month after giving birth in 2009. However, other players, such as Skylar’s teammate Glory Johnson, and Atlanta Dream guard Bria Holmes have had to miss entire seasons due to pregnancy.
