Sugarhill Gang's Big Bank Hank Dies at 57
The rapper, née Henry Jackson, passes after battle with cancer.
Big Bank Hank passed away Tuesday morning (Nov. 11) after a battle with cancer, reports TMZ.
The emcee, born Henry Jackson, is most popularly known as a member of The Sugarhill Gang –– the group credited with mainstreaming hip hop with their 1979 hit "Rapper's Delight."
"So sad to hear of our brother's passing. Rest in peace Big Bank," his group mates Wonder Mike and Mister Gee told the site.
