Here's Why Meghan Markle Will Likely Skip Wearing Foundation At Her Royal Wedding

A bare face for the big day?

The countdown for the royal wedding of actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of Wales is ON!

Since May 19 is just around the corner, there's been plenty of speculation on everything from details about her wedding dress, her facial regimen—and now, how she's planning on wearing her hair and makeup. Well, kinda.

In a recent interview with Refinery29, Meghan's former makeup artist and hairstylist Lydia Sellers shared some of the bride-to-be's beauty secrets. One hint? She doesn't usually "want a ton of foundation" on.

"Every time I'd do her makeup, she'd say, 'Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don't want a ton of foundation,'" she revealed to Refinery29.

Now we understand why she told Allure last spring that her biggest pet peeve was, "when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot."

"She just wants to look like a better version of herself. That's something she [Meghan] believes firmly in." So how did her former makeup artist honor Meghan's past requests?

"I'd use the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($64) with a Beautyblender because it's really easy to sheer out," Lydia shared.

Although Meghan's go-to hairstyle is wearing it down, "straight or wavy or anything else," Lydia has a prediction for her wedding hair: a sleek, elegant chignon. "You never know, but that would be my guess."

Honestly, it's hard to guess exactly what the 36-year-old beauty will choose for her wedding, which will be viewed by millions, but we do know one thing— she's not afraid to make her own rules!
