Update: Bobby Shmurda Arrested in New York
UPDATE: The arrest of rapper Bobby Shmurda Wednesday (Dec. 17) morning was the end result of a “long-term” NYPD investigation involving “a number of violent incidents,” narcotics, and weapons trafficking. “My office has a sealed indictment against a number of individuals,” Kati Cornell of the NYPD’s Office of the Special Narcotics confirmed to REVOLT.
Shmurda will be arraigned inside a Manhattan Superior Court tomorrow, at which point the indictment will be unsealed.

Bobby Shmurda was arrested in New York City and is facing undisclosed charges, KarenCivil.com reports.
A source told the site that authorities seized numerous weapons during a bust at Quad Studios early Wednesday (Dec. 17). Shmurda, whose birth name is Ackquille Jean Pollard, was apprehended alongside members of his GS9 squad. Epic Records executive Sha Money XL, who signed Shmurda to the label earlier this year, was arrested as well.
The group is currently being held in custody, reportedly without bail. Arraignments are scheduled to take place Thursday.
Shmurda, 20, has been down this road before. The "Hot N**a" rapper was arrested on a felony guns charge in June, and in October for smoking weed.
