Janet Puts Her Move on the Louvre

Miss Jackson Turns Paris Out for a Benefit Concert

Paris is all a buzz. And rightly so. Janet Jackson’s hot performance at the Louvre was one that the city will not soon forget. Associated Press (AP) reports that her concert was the highlight of the “Liaisons au Louvre” benefit. It was the first time that I.M. Pei’s Pyramid had seen such fire.
Just imagine a crowd of socialites clad in priceless couture. Every hair in place. Not at this performance. Jackson, who wore a white crocodile pantsuit, had the crowd up on their heels and grooving to some of her greatest hits: "What Have You Done For Me Lately," "Miss You Much," "Rhythm Nation," and "Nasty." Prince Albert II of Monaco and actress Diane Kruger, as well as hundreds of art lovers and do-gooders with deep pockets danced the night away. The Grammy award winner’s performance was loud enough to make the glass paneling reverberate overhead.

"Her music is the soundtrack of all our lives," Lucas Somoza, a 29-year-old Houstonian who now lives in Paris told AP. "She is one of the iconic singers of our times and to see her live is mind-blowing."
