Host Trevor Noah Signs, Seals, And Delivers The Laughs At 2022 GRAMMY Awards

Here are three of his funniest moments from the biggest night in music.

The 64th annual Grammy Awards is now officially over. Grammy-nominated comedian and host Trevor Noah did his very best to keep the audience laughing throughout the night, carefully poking fun at some of the most talented names in the music business. It was the comedian’s second year in a row hosting the ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and as usual he did not disappoint.

Here’s a look back at just three of the funniest moments from the evening’s biggest night in music.

Turn Down For What?

While Noah's jokes hit home, none of them left scars or opened new wounds. The South-African born comedian did in fact joked about Justin Bieber,  Olivia Rodrigo, House of Gucci stars Lady Gaga and Jared Leto, but one of his funniest moments came on a topic that everyone can still relate to.  In his opening monologue, speaking of observations from his hosting duties from the previous year, Noah said, “Last time, people were doing shots, but it was more Moderna and Pfizer."

Not Tonight Satan

At the beginning of the show, Noah let the audience know that this year’s Grammys would be a drama-free zone. “We’re going to be listening to some music; we’re going to be dancing, we’re going to be singing, we’re going to be  keeping people’s names out of our mouths and we’re going to be giving awards all throughout the night,” said Noah, alluding to the Will Smith outburst and slap directed at Chris Rock at the  94th Academy Award ceremony just one week ago.

Actually, Everybody’s Talking About Bruno

At one point in the evening, Noah sat beside two-time Grammy award winning duo Silk Sonic playfully focusing all of his attention on Anderson .Paak, joking that he “is the silk and the sonic” of the duo. After pretending to ignore Bruno Mars, Noah jokingly says, “We don’t talk about Bruno '' quoting the Oscar nominated song from the hit Disney film, Encanto. Noah turned to Mars to let him know he’s “alright” too as Mars glared back at him. In the end, the two couldn't help but break out in a laugh.
