Young Thug Gets Booed in Louisiana
Louisiana has no love for Young Thug. The rapper was booed while on stage at Southern University in Baton Rouge, seemingly by fans who side with local hero Lil Wayne in the rappers' beef.
Thug tried to brush off the heckling, replying to the crowd's chants with “I still love you,” but his attempt to play nice didn't do much to silence the boos.
The Atlanta rapper's relationship with Weezy came to a head when Thug revealed the intended name of his most recent album to be Carter 6. After major backlash from the Young Money boss and his fans — and likely from Wayne's lawyers as well — Thug backed off and changed the name to Barter 6.
Apparently, that wasn't enough to make peace with Weezyville.
But at least Thugga can be comforted by the fact that he wasn't the only rapper to be booed this weekend. Weezy's YMCMB labelmate Drake also got a vocal thumbs down from the crowd at the Toronto Raptors game on Friday (April 24) night. The "Started From the Bottom" rapper, who is a official ambassador of his hometown team, also took the jibes in stride, even taking a bow from his courtside seat.
