BET Awards 2022: Tyler, The Creator's Trendsetting Looks That Break The Mold Of Hip Hop Fashion

The multi-hyphenate creative is breaking boundaries in fashion, one look at a time.

Tyler, The Creator knows how to break the mold with his unique fashion choices! Once known for his classic and casual attire—mostly consisting of statement-making socks, cargo shorts, and striped golf tees—fans of the "See You Again" rapper have watched his personality evolve, along with his personal style.

Now a fan of custom suits and eye-catching accessories, the 30-year-old star once told Dazed, “The fashion world don’t let many people in. And because I wear t-shirts and shorts, I’m not all like high fashion. They don’t take me seriously.”

Clearly, the industry missed the mark with this icon-in-the-making. Today, the multi-hyphenate creative is paving the way for how we showcase our artistic side with clothing. As a nominee for "Album of the Year" for the BET Awards 2022, we decided to highlight some of the entertainer's most memorable clothing choices over the years. And best believe, the style evolution is worth the scroll!
