Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry Will Return for The Game Series Finale
The Game's writers have been cooking up a must-see series finale for Aug. 5 that will bring back the show's original castmembers Tia Mowry-Hardrict, who played Dr. Melanie Barnett-Davis, and Pooch Hall, who portrayed her husband Derwin Davis. The couple's roller coaster relationship was the center of the series for five seasons before they made their departure in 2012.
The big announcement was made at the 2015 BET Awards Sunday night as the cast said their final goodbyes and Pooch Hall surprised them on stage. "It's not gonna be a final season without your boy," said Hall. "It's not just me. Melanie is also back on The Game for the finale," he continued.
Melanie and Derwin's up-and-down love story involved breakups to makeups and affairs, which they worked out to eventually become Mr. and Mrs. Davis. By season 5, Melanie decided to make the move to Baltimore to pursue her dreams of being a doctor at John Hopkins School of Medicine, which she originally put on hold to follow Derwin's football career. Also, Derwin was traded to Baltimore, allowing him to be with Melanie. But what happened to the couple after?
Congrats to Mara Brock Akil for nine successful seasons of The Game. We're sure the finale will give us the answers we've been waiting for. Tune in for the finale, airing Aug. 5.
