Trina in Legal Battle Over Missed Show

Concert promoter says Trina owes her $16,000 after canceling gig without notice.

A concert promoter is going after Trina for $16,000 for failing to appear at a show in St. Louis, but a rep for the rapper claims the promoter is telling lies.
TMZ has letters from the promoter showing that Trina was paid $7,000 to perform at the Imperial Palace on May 19, but when the day came, she was nowhere to be found, leaving a crowd full of angry fans.
Trina's rep says she had canceled the event due to conflicting obligations, but the promoter denies that claim, saying she never got a formal cancellation notice.
Now she wants the $7,000 back plus an additional $9,000 in promotional costs and damages.
According to Trina's people, the rapper has already tried to return the concert fee, but the promoter refused to accept it. They claim that the promoter deliberately let the show go on with Trina's name attached to it, even though she knew the rapper wouldn't make it.
Both parties are pursuing their legal options.
