You’ll Never Believe Why Blac Chyna Decided To Pursue Rapping
From dancing to modeling, appearing on reality television and becoming an entrepreneur, it’s clear that Blac Chyna isn’t afraid to switch up her career. Earlier this year, the doting mother of two revealed that she’d be pursuing a career in rap music, and now she’s spilling all the tea on her new journey.
During an interview with XXL, Chyna opened up about what encouraged her to get into music. “What even made me start to think about this venture is like, hey, I’m already in the industry and I done kinda reached the highest of the things I was doing,” she explained. “I’m an entrepreneur, I have a shop, I have Lashed, I have 88 Fin, I done did the TV scene. I done did all that so it’s like,’hey, Chyna, what’s your next big thing?’”
Initially torn between tackling two new career fields Chyna recounted, “I told myself it’s either two ways you could go with this. You either go music music or you could do acting. And I’m like, uh, music. Hello! I’m already around it and most of the people I already know them anyways, so, it should be really easy for me.”
Hear that? It’s the sound of every aspiring rapper who spent years perfecting their flow and hustling for recognition face palming at the same damn time.
Chyna’s network of famous friends also played a role in her decision to pursue rap. “I feel like if I do need help or if I need mentoring I could call my friends like French [Montana] and Nicki [Minaj] or just whoever for advice and whatnot. I feel like it’s the right way to go.”
Despite haven’t released a single yet, Chyna claims there are labels already expressing their interests, but she’s unsure of if she’s going to sign a deal or stay independent.
Aiming to release her first single before the end of 2017, the aspiring emcee revealed that she hopes to work with Rihanna, Migos, French Montana, Trey Songz and Gwen Stefani in the future.
