Pharrell, Cara Delevingne Star in New Ads for Chanel
Pharrell Williams dropped that bellhop-to-prince character he played in the Karl Lagerfeld short film Reincarnated last year for a more middle-ground role: billionaire prep.
The "relaxed structure" feel of the 2015 Chanel campaign features Skateboard P in military earth tones, alongside triple-threat (model, actress, singer) Cara Delevingne and an adorbale toddler (seen in other photos Pharrell posted to Twitter recently).
Delevingne gave a behind-the-scenes of the shoot last month via Instagram, and with the latest pics, the anticipation is growing quicky as to whether or not Lagerfeld developed the new ads into another mini motion picture (word is he has, fingers crossed).
Regardless, it's expected that Pharrell, who's been a force in fashion since the launch of his Billionaire Boys Club in 2005, will continue to give fans and fashionistas alike the full experience. Similar to the way his Vivienne Westwood hat went everywhere with him –– from the Grammys to The Simpsons to his wax figure at Madame Tussauds –– he punctuated the 2014 Lagerfeld clip with an original track, "CC The World," and brought the bellhop back for a sobering rendition of "Happy" at this year's Grammys.
His next series of shows includes summer concerts for Woolsworth. Pharrell, the current CFDA Icon of the year, and the South African retailer partnered to spread the word of sustainability via performances and a design contest for t-shirts made of recycled plastic.
