50 Cent Criticizes Interscope, Then Clarifies
Super rapper 50 Cent is notorious for lots of things, one of which is speaking his mind, always. So it shouldn’t have been a surprise when he hit the keys last week and tweeted against his label, saying, “Ok I tried to be cool with my record company. I went to the meeting talk to everyone and sh*t feels like there moving in slow motion.” Then he writes his album will not drop this year, explaining, “I would rather not launch my album with out a plan the whole system is executing. I don't know why they play with me they know how I get… My whole career iv been doing sh*t and they have been playing catch up this is the last f*cking album THEY BETTER WAKE UP AND WORK.”
Leaving fans to wonder what the heck was going on, 50 continued to vent saying he worked hard on his album and would drop his single “Outlaw” independently of Interscope. He must have had a second thought because he never did. Instead, he tells MTV, he and Dr. Dre hashed out the confusion, which included Dre being upset about 50 wanting to launch his own music headphones, and got back to making music. He also wrote that he loves his label chairman Jimmy Iovine for all he's done for him.
So 50 and Dre are cool again. Cool enough to have sat down right after and penned a song together called “The Psycho,” which the Queens rapper says is the producer’s next single.
