Sunday night (Dec. 1), the 2nd Annual HBCU Honors celebrated the extraordinary achievements of Historically Black College and University alumni with an unforgettable evening of recognition and entertainment.
Honorees included acclaimed filmmaker Will Packer, inventor Dr. Lonnie Johnson, and tech trailblazer Jewel Burks Solomon.
The event's recipients delivered powerful speeches highlighting the impact of HBCU education on their journeys to success.
The night was elevated by show-stopping performances from Grammy-winner Fantasia, Erica and Krista Campbell, gospel icon Hezekiah Walker, hip-hop legend MC Lyte, and more.
Beyond the festivities, the event maintained its commitment to HBCU advancement through major sponsorship announcements, including Google’s unveiling of a $5M investment in STEM initiatives at Spelman College, while Mielle forged a $200K partnership with Hampton University’s Lady Pirates, supporting the student-athlete excellence.
