Michael Jackson's Physician Dr. Arnold Klein Dies
One of Michael Jackson's closest friends, Dr. Arnold Klein, passed away on Thursday night in Palm Springs. According to TMZ, the 70-year-old died of natural causes.
Law enforcement sources report that Dr. Klein was admitted to a hospital in Palm Springs on October 19. He was reportedly suffering from severe abdominal pains, and stayed in treatment until he died on Thursday evening at 7:50 p.m.
Dr. Klein was the infamous go-to dermatologist to Hollywood's elite, but he fell from grace during the beginning stages of MJ's death. Some of his most famous clients in addition to the King of Pop included Elizabeth Taylor, Dolly Parton, Dustin Hoffman, Cher and Sharon Stone.
The "Father of Botox" and the King of Pop were best friends and vacation buddies. They even spent several holidays together while the singer was alive. However, reports say that MJ used their close bond to help fuel his drug addiction. Following MJ's death, it was reported that Klein injected him with Demerol 51 times in the three months leading up to his death.
There are also claims that Dr. Klein took Jackson to several surgery centers to put him under with Propofol, the drug that ultimately led to his untimely death. According to TMZ, Klein even allegedly took Jackson to the gynecologist next door to his office to supply him with Propofol. The doc denied the claims, saying that he was providing Jackson with anesthesia for an acne treatment.
Klein was also known for supplying Jackson with several narcotic drugs, including Demerol, under various aliases, including Omar Arnold, Fernand Diaz, Peter Madonie and Josephine Baker.
Following the legal drama that took over his life following MJ's death, he declared bankruptcy.
Interestingly, Dr. Klein was also rumored to be the biological father of Michael Jackson's son, Prince. Just yesterday, the 18-year-old addressed the rumor, somewhat admitting that the pop legend was, in fact, not his biological dad. TMZ later proved that Dr. Klein is not Prince's father either, despite him trying to prove he was years ago.
