Tia Mowry Affirms Love for Twin Sister Tamera Amid Speculation of Distance

In a sneak peek of her upcoming reality show, Tia Mowry opens up about the emotional challenges of her post-divorce life, revealing a longing for her sister's support.

Despite social media speculation, Tia Mowry still expresses "love" for her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley.

In a sneak peek of her new reality show “Tia Mowry: My Next Act,” premiering on Oct. 4, Tia shared that she and Tamera are no longer as close, sparking concern among fans. Following her 2023 divorce from Cory Hardrict, the 46-year-old tearfully reflected on the difficulties of adapting to life after separation, revealing that the "most challenging" part has been feeling "alone." She also longed to reconnect with Tamera, wishing she had her sister's support during such a challenging time.

"It's times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close and I could, you know, pick up the phone and call her. But that's just not where we are right now," Tia admitted.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Tia clarified that her previous comments about her relationship with Tamera referred to their physical distance. Tia lives in Los Angeles with her two children, while Tamera resides in Napa Valley with her husband, Adam Housley, and their children.

"You could hear it from me, and this is basically what I was insinuating: I feel like as we grow up, we all start our own families, and their children need to lean on them. We begin to take on new roles and responsibilities within our lives," Tia told the outlet. "That is what that was all about. In these transitions in life, sometimes you just want a hug, and you just want someone to be as accessible as they used to be, and that is not the case. It’s called life."

The actress continued, "I love my sister very much. She loves me very much. We have a closeness and a beautiful connection. But that’s what that was all about. It’s just how life unfolds, and it happens with many families."

Tia described the online reactions to the sneak peek of her show as not surprising. "When you’ve been in this industry for over 30 years, things are always taken out of context, and it is what it is," she added. "The only thing that I can do is control my behaviors and be the best person that I could possibly be, and that’s what both of us are. We are incredible, inspiring examples, and we have been that all our lives. So, why change that now?"
