Ms. Lauryn Hill & The Fugees have left fans devastated after canceling  “The Miseducation Anniversary Tour”

According to Variety, no reason for the tour's cancellation was given. On Tuesday (Aug. 6), concertgoers received emails that stated, "Your event has been canceled. A refund will be on its way to your account soon."

As previously reported by BET, “The Miseducation Anniversary Tour,” which celebrates the 25th anniversary of Billboard 200 No. 1 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, was set to begin on Friday (Aug. 9) in Tampa, with stops in New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Milwaukee, and more.

Although the U.S. dates are gone, tickets remain on sale for an overseas leg of the tour that begins in Manchester, England, on Oct. 12 and ends in Amsterdam on Oct. 22, with stops in London and Paris in between.

The tour was previously postponed in November 2023. “As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month. I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time,” Hill wrote on Instagram at the time. “In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”

She added, “The shows that were cancelled this year will be rescheduled for early 2024 AND because of the overwhelming response, we’ll be adding new cities to the tour, including overseas.”
