The dust is far from settled between Chrisean Rock and James Wright Chanel. 

After posting her whereabouts via social media on May 4, a process server rendered legal documents to the rapper at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, as reported by Radar Online.

This comes after the reality star allegedly assaulted Chanel backstage at a performance in November 2023 that was headlined by Tamar Braxton.

Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Chanel had also sued Rock for battery and emotional distress, according to TMZ. Chanel –who is Braxton's backup singer– says Rock assaulted him and used a homophobic slur towards him.

According to Chanel, the incident occurred after he told Rock she was only supposed to join the stage for the twerk portion of the show. At the time, the rapper was not in the properly designated area. After that, Rock allegedly hit Chanel multiple times with her hand while wearing "large champion-style rings."

Following the incident, Chanel went to the hospital and consulted with a dentist and plastic surgeon.

Along with assault, battery, and emotional distress, Chanel is also seeking recompense for his medical bills and other damages.

Rock has not responded to these allegations.
