LaMelo Ball Shows Off Massive Full-Back Tattoo On Social Media
Charlotte Hornets’ star LaMelo Ball recently got some new ink and his body artwork has gone viral on social media.
According to the photo, the tattoo has an alien head with the phrase "Rare One” with "RARE" outlined in red and black and "ONE" outlined in white. Reportedly, the tattoo took approximately 18 hours to complete.
Performed by Herchell L. Carrasco AKA RockRollG at Pachuco Tattoo in Orange, California, after months of consultation with Ball, the artwork took 18 hours and three sessions to complete, reports TMZ.
Ball has not been shy in expressing his love of tattoos. In November 2023, the NBA required Ball to cover one of the tattoos on his left ear, the initials "LF” which stood for his middle name and clothing brand. Per NBA policy, Ball’s tattoo violated its rules about "having commercial logos on players' bodies." When Ball attempted a comeback from his ankle injury, the NBA allowed him to show his tattoo.
This past season, Ball was averaging 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 8.0 assists—suffering a season-ending ankle injury in January limited him to just 22 games.
Off the court, Ball recently collaborated with Puma to launch their first-ever co-designed lifestyle shoe, LaFrancé.
Along with the LaFrancé footwear, a few apparel pieces, including graphic tees, a mesh tank, shorts, and track pants, ranging from $40-$110, are also a part of the collaboration.
The LaFrancé collection and accompanying pieces will be available at PUMA.com and set to drop on May 17.
