Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat line is known for its glitzy details, bold colors, and instant glamour at affordable prices. The Spring 2010 show was more of the mall-ready fabulosity that has lured Phat fans for years. The show went down at the famed Roseland Ballroom in Midtown NYC and stars like Kim Kardashian, LeToya Luckett, Wale, Raheem DeVaughn, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker were spotted in the front row. DJ Cassidy cranked out old-school jams while models like Sessilee Lopez pounded down the glitter-laden runway. At the close of the show, the funky strains of Michael Jackson’s “PYT” pumped into the ballroom and four models in colored leggings and a single sparkly glove posed and spelled out the word “baby” with letters on the front of their t-shirts. The models made the final walk and posed at the beginning of the runway once more to reveal the word “phat” on the back of their shirts. Then, flanked by her young daughters Aoki and Ming and cradling her sleeping newborn Kenzo, Lee took a bow on the catwalk. The crowd met her with thunderous applause and a standing ovation.
