LeBron James Calls Bronny Joining Him on the Lakers His 'Greatest Accomplishment' in Basketball

Last month, the duo made history when the Lakers selected the No. 55 draft pick.

According to proud dad and NBA superstar LeBron James, securing four championships with three different teams—the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers—doesn’t compare to being able to play on the same professional team as your kid.

In a preview of an upcoming conversation ahead of the Paris Olympic Games with TODAY’s Craig Melvin, the 39-year-old opens up about the upcoming basketball season and the rare opportunity he’ll share with Bronny

“It’ll probably be, when it comes to Basketball, it’s the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever had.”

James, a Cleveland Cavaliers star forward then, echoed these sentiments in 2018. In a clip posted to his Uninterrupted platform, the veteran athlete stated, “If I'm on the same court as my son in the NBA, that would be No. 1 in my lifetime as an NBA player,” before accurately predicting that the 14-year-old “might be able to get in there a little early.”
