SZA Adds Four New ‘LANA’ Tracks Tied to Super Bowl LIX
Just in time for her Super Bowl LXI halftime show with Kendrick Lamar, SZA expanded “LANA” with four new tracks.
The album is an expansion of “SOS,” which the 5-time Grammy winner released in 2022. The previous expanded version were 15 tracks, including the Kendrick-assisted “30 for 30.” The final version of “LANA” is a new collaboration with Don Toliver titled “Joni,” marking their second song since “SOS” track “Used.” In total, “LANA” now has 19 songs.
While she didn’t perform any “LANA” or “SOS” tracks, the duo brought their collaborations, “Luther” and “All the Stars,” to life at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday, February 19.
Beginning on April 19, SZA and Kendrick will embark on the Grand National Tour for 23 dates, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the artists performing their other collaborations, including “Gloria” and “Babylon.”
The singer-songwriter spoke to “Access Hollywood” last December, where she shared that the tour will consist of “new music, new energy” and a “new approach.” “I’m just birthing a new version of myself and having Dot [Kendrick] to be there–[he’s] such a veteran but it’s also both our first stadium tour. It’s gnarly,” she said in the video below.
