Paula Patton has a new man in her life and she's really, really, excited about it!

In a recent interview, the actress giddily shared how she met her boyfriend and just why she's head over heels for him.

Speaking with the folks at Extra, the Traffik star said loud and proud, "I have a boyfriend now."

"I haven't called anybody a boyfriend," she said. "He's my boyfriend!"

While the two have only been in a committed relationship for a month, things seem to be going pretty well as she said, confidently, "When you know, you know. I love him!"

Though she refrained for revealing her new beau's identity, she shared a few details of how they met and it showed one thing: they're both parents whose kids love basketball.

"If you have a kid and you have a basketball game, look at the daddies," she said. "It's kind of a suburban romance. It's like all women's fairy tale. He's got kids, I got a kid. You know, one of those!"

Patton shares one child, 8-year-old Julian, with her ex-husband, Robin Thicke. The longtime couple finalized their divorce back in 2015 after getting married in 2005.
