Halle Berry & Angelina Jolie Set to Bring the Heat in Fierce Spy Thriller 'Maude v Maude'
Academy Award-winning actresses Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie will face off as secret agents in the new spy thriller from Warner Bros. Studios, Maude v. Maude.
Information about the movie has been closely guarded, but Deadline reports that the highly anticipated film is poised to be a riveting international action thriller, reminiscent of a Bond-Bourne showdown. Both Berry and Jolie are also serving as producers for the project. Acclaimed New Zealand director Roseanne Liang will helm the film, working with a script penned by Scott Mosier, the producer behind notable projects like The Grinch and the iconic Clerks franchise.
Maude v. Maude marks the first time Berry and Jolie will appear on screen together. However, neither stars are strangers to the spy and action genres. Berry starred in the 2002's James Bond film Die Another Day before going on to appear in the third John Wick installment. The 56-year-old has also portrayed iconic characters such as Storm in the X-Men films and the 2004 adaptation of Catwoman.
Meanwhile, Jolie starred in the highly successful Mr. & Mrs. Smith alongside ex-husband Brad Pitt. She also played Lara Croft in two Tomb Raider films.
No word on when production for the upcoming movie will begin.
