WTF: Seth Rogen Put A Black Child Actor In Blackface And Twitter Is Completely Disgusted
The upcoming Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg-produced movie, Good Boys, is already getting the side-eye treatment from some after it appears as a child actor's stand-in was pictured in blackface.
In a photo obtained by TMZ, a child actor can be seen standing in for one of the film's stars, Keith L. Williams, 11, while he was on break.
In addition to wearing makeup applied to darken his complexion, he was also wearing an afro wig and a fat suit.

The site reports that the movie's production company remained adamant that the darkening of the stand-in actor's skin tone was strictly "for lighting purposes" and is "not uncommon." They further insisted that this is not a case of blackface.
The child actor who was used to stand in Williams' place is African-American, himself. However, he is lighter in complexion.
The stand-in's father, who serves as a stunt performer on the set, is reportedly "offended by the claims being made regarding his son."
One person felt uneasy by the decision after seeing the child in blackface and proceeded to file a complaint. The producers of the film are now said to be in the process of looking into the matter.
TMZ corresponded with some industry insiders who said that, in their own experiences, casting directors will try their best to cast stand-ins who closely match their corresponding actors' skin tones in order to prevent makeup from being used.
