As Halle Bailey continues to share highlights from her pregnancy, she is now shedding light on why she decided to keep her baby bump on the low.

During a recent Q&A session on Snapchat reposted by Thevoice4dappl REACTS on YouTube, "The Little Mermaid" star discussed her decision to maintain a private pregnancy and how fan speculation affected her mental health.

"I just wanted to make sure I had a beautiful and private healthy time in my journey," she said of her preference to share at her discretion.

"I feel like sometimes as people in the limelight, people feel like they want to know every little thing about their life, but I think it's really beautiful if you keep some things private and sacred," she added.

While the multi-hyphenate continued to pull back the layers of this significant milestone in her life, she responded to another fan who asked if "blogs and cameras" had been "stressful."

"I mean, it was a little bit [stressful], but honestly, I stayed off all social media. I really tried to, just to keep myself sane and okay."

She also discussed the immense chatter and rumors from fans who would post comments such as "we know" on her posts.

“I’d be like, it’s great that you know, but I’m just going to chill,” she explained. “That’s wonderful if you support me, and if not, that’s okay too. I hope you have a wonderful life.”

On Jan. 6, the first-time mom and dad, rapper DDG, announced they had welcomed their son, Halo.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo. The world is desperate to know you,” the parents posted on their separate accounts, along with a photo of Bailey's hand holding that of her son. The baby is also sporting a gold nameplate bracelet around his tiny wrist. A third hand anchors the two underneath and we can only speculate that it belongs to DDG.
