“Yo, [Mayor George Fischer and Gov. Andy Beshear], when the f**k are y’all going to arrest and charge Breonna Taylor’s murderers?!?” she tweeted on Sunday (May 31), tagging both of their official accounts. “Why are Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankinson [and] Myles Cosgrove still roaming freely [and] still being [paid] while y’all try to protect the blood on y’all’s hands?”

The three officers were involved in a raid that resulted in the death of Taylor. The 26-year-old EMT was shot dead after Louisville police barged into her apartment in the middle of the night on March 13 searching for illegal drugs. Thinking they were intruders, her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shot at the police who returned fire and shot Taylor eight times. Taylor’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit, arguing that the police did not identify themselves as law enforcement like they claimed.

So far, none of the police officers involved have been arrested nor fired in connection to Taylor’s death amid an ongoing internal investigation for possibly falsifying court documents to obtain their search warrant of Taylor’s home, according to CBS News.
Louisville has been a flashpoint of protests against police violence and is now dealing with a new incident in which popular barbecue restaurant owner David McAtee was killed Monday (June 1) by gunfire when police opened fire while trying to clear out protesters. Officials say police hit McAtee when returning fire when they were shot at.
Steve Conrad, the Louisville police chief, was fired when it was revealed that officers did not have their body cameras activated, CBS News reported.
