Shaboozey Celebrates ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ Going No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100
Shaboozey is making history.
On Monday (July 8), the country singer earned his first-ever No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "A Bar Song (Tipsy).” This makes him the second-ever Black artist to ever top both the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts after Beyoncé's single "Texas Hold 'Em."
“WE DID IT YALL,” the Virginia native said in an Instagram post, celebrating the accomplishment. “WE NO. 1. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS! I LOVE Y’ALL. HAPPY ‘A BAR SONG DAY.’ TAKE A DOUBLE SHOT OF WHISKEY [FOR] ME! VA TO THE WORLD!”
In a follow-up message on X (formerly known as Twitter), Shaboozey wrote, “The actual feeling of having your ‘dreams come true’ is indescribable, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at some point in life.”
In March 2024, Shaboozey collaborated with Beyoncé on two tracks from her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter – “SPAGHETTII” and “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN.”
As reported by BET, the “Start a Riot” hitmaker recently announced the first leg of his tour, supporting his third studio album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going. He also made his debut performance at the BET Awards 2024 with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and a special appearance from J-Kwon, the inspiration behind the hit.
