Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Wife Allison Holker ‘Doing As Well As Expected’ Following His Death

The choreographer and TV personality died by suicide in December.

After more than two months since Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ tragic passing, his wife Allison Holker is reportedly “doing as well as expected.”

That’s according to a source close to the 35-year-old who told PEOPLE that “her first priority is the kids, and she is being the best mom she can be. The support from friends has been invaluable."

In an Instagram post made last week, Holker shared a heartfelt video message during which she relayed that her current journey “has been very challenging and emotional.”

"But you guys have brought so much hope and inspiration to us by sharing stories and memories and moments and different ways that Steven impacted your life,” she added. "He was someone that was just beautiful, and he lived his life from love and he made you feel a certain way."

Holker also revealed their family "always said that we wanted to make sure that our purpose was lived out by bringing joy to people," and that their mission is "not going to change."

"It's going to feel a little bit different, but we know that that's our purpose, and we'll still do that to this day," she said. "And I hope that we can remember the feeling he gave us, and that we can still move from there. We can still move and choose love. And we can choose grace. We can still choose kindness."

"I will always be there for you guys," Holker concluded. "And I appreciate you being there for us at this moment. It goes a really far way for us. So thank you."

40-year-old Stephen “tWitch” Boss reportedly passed away by suicide on December 13. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's coroner ruled that he died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head. The ruling was listed on the coroner's website, and it noted that Boss died at a hotel/motel and stated that the case was closed.

The multi-talented dancer got his start in entertainment in 2008 as a runner-up on So You Think You Can Dance. He was also an actor playing Jason in the Step Up movies. Boss also appeared in Magic Mike XXL. He was the house DJ for The Ellen Show from 2014 and remained on the show until it wrapped earlier this year. In 2020, he was named an executive producer.
