Kendrick Lamar Responds To Viral Clip Of Security Guard Crying To “Love” Performance
Kendrick Lamar is currently on his Big Steppers Tour, featuring his cousin, rapper Baby Kee and according to several viral social media posts illustrate that Lemar’s performances have shown his fans truly being moved by his music.
One of the most recent viral clips from the show, a security worker is visibly brought to tears during the rapper's live performance to “Love” off of his DAMN album.
In an upcoming interview with Jazzy’s World TV, Lamar shared that he had watched the talked-about clip and reiterated the importance of the “feeling” of his music instead of the elements that tie in together with the artistic process.
“It’s really just about the feeling of it at the end of the day,” Kendrick said. “Past all the politics, past all the numbers. It’s what music makes you feel, how it makes you feel. So to see that … And shout-out to him by the way because I seen him, bro. I was like, man, I wonder what he going through? But at the end of the day that’s how you want everybody to perceive your music.”
Lamar heads to Tampa, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Nashville for the next stops on his tour. He will be on the road promoting his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album through December 2022.
