Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his wife Laticia are having a baby! On Wednesday night (Jan. 12), Kilpatrick made the baby announcement via an Instagram video.

“Tonight we're going to announce to everyone who is within earshot our great news,” the soon-to-be-dad happily shared in a nearly nine-minute long recording with his wife. “Laticia and I are about to bring forth a brand new baby boy. We found out that we are pregnant.”

During the video, Kilpatrick shared his excitement and revealed to the world that his wife is about 20 weeks pregnant. He continued, “We're just excited about what God has done in our lives and our marriage and a beautiful gift of another son.”

ICYMI: In July, Kwame Kilpatrick and his wife Laticia tied the knot in an afternoon ceremony at Detroit's Historic Little Rock Baptist Church.

The couple already have a son together. Kilpatrick has three sons from his first marriage.
