Tina Turner's New Book Reportedly Reveals Details About Her Life-Threatening Illness
The history of rock-and-roll queen Tina Turner, including her marriage to her former husband Ike Turner which she suffered domestic violence from, has made its way to film, national television and books over the span of her iconic career.
But she’s not through telling her story just yet. And this time, she’s reportedly revealing her previous struggle with an untold life-threatening illness and more details on the horrific abuse from Ike in her forthcoming book, Tina Turner: My Love Story.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the book will arrive in honor of her 60th year in music and will cover the full-length story of the life and times of Ms. Tina Turner. EW adds that fans will learn about her “finding love” and surviving the never-before-told illness.
As a follow-up to her first best-selling memoir, I, Tina, the book will go into more detail about the nearly fatal moments with Ike during their violently toxic relationship that ended in 1973. Tina also enlisted some help with the novel, co-writing beside Deborah Davis and Dominik Wichmann.
Be on the lookout for Tina Turner: My Love Story when it hits shelves in October 2018.
