Next month, Warren G will drop a new project that he’s been prepping for a few years now. The Regulate…G Funk Era Part II EP debuts Aug. 6, Warren announced to Billboard.com.

"I feel real good that I am getting the chance to let people hear a lot of that sound that has been missing [in] hip hop,” said Warren. "I finally have records that I had in the archives that I put together to let the world hear some of that G Funk that they’ve been missing and wanting to hear for long time."

Never-before-heard collaborations with Nate are something Warren’s fans have been wanting for “years,” but the process wasn’t easy on him. “It was a lot to work on records with one of your buddies, one of your best friends who's not with you anymore,” he said.

The first single from Regulate…G Funk Era Part II EP will feature Nate, which Warren said he will drop soon. He’s also hitting some stages next month, performing at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Aug. 9, and the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles on Aug. 13.
