‘The Oval’ Recap: Hunter Turns Up On Victoria
We are turning up the scandals even more this week on Tyler Perry’s The Oval. Last week’s episode ended with Hunter asking his new secret service agents to arrest Victoria for attempting to assassinate him. The agents show up in Victoria’s room while she’s comfy and asleep in her bed, with no care in the world. Victoria resists, and it gets bad. Like, to the point where one of the gents yanks Miss Vikki out of her bed and then engages in combat because you know our girl ain't going down without a fight. Victoria eventually gets tased so that she knows it’s real.
The agents take Victoria to Hunter first, and she denies that she was involved, but Hunter plays the recordings of her that he got. Victoria maintains that it’s not what he thinks it is and that the drugs weren’t meant for him but it’s off to the bunker for her. Hunter then demands they get Eli too, but the agent reminds him that because Eli is still technically the president. They can’t snatch him up just yet, not until Hunter gets well enough to get back in office.
In other news, Simone gets drunk and calls Donald to tell him she clocked his tea long ago. She knows about his and Kyle’s romance, his loyalty to the First Lady, and Eli and Victoria’s affair. Donald realizes she’s being drunk and messy, so he plans to meet up with her another day when she’s sober so that they can talk for real, for real. Eli saunters into the living room after she hangs up with Donald and demands to know who she’s talking to. They have a back-and-forth with Simone, letting him know she knows about his affair. Eli has the nerve to gaslight her. He keeps denying the affair with Victoria and trying to play Simone like she’s some drunken fool. If you recall, Priscilla asked her to keep her cool for now, and she’s not doing the best job but she does miraculously refrain from swinging on Eli. However, this convo still miraculously goes off without incident. Simone is better than most.
Let’s fast forward to the end of the episode. Nancy has been staying with Priscilla since Richard kicked her out, and even at Priscilla’s place, she’s playing Susie Homemaker. We find her in the kitchen packing breakfast for Priscilla before she goes to work. The real drama begins after Priscilla leaves because Jason, like Michael Myers, pops up from out of the shadows, and yokes Nancy up from behind. He tells her not to move, and we already know that boy is crazier than a bag of cats. We’ll see where this goes next week, but hopefully, Nancy doesn’t become his next victim.
